Trochę ABCD, ale także i alfabet. Rozpoczynamy nowy cykl, gdzie podpytujemy artystki i artystów o miejsca, zdarzenia i postaci dla nich ważne. Na dzień dobry Sarah P., była wokalistka Keep Shelly in Athens, obecnie grająca solo. W 2017 roku wydała studyjny, długogrający Who Am I, a już 14 grudnia w sieci pojawi się minialbum mieszkającej w Berlinie Greczynki, Maenads. A u nas rodzinne Ateny Sarry Anny Psalti w układzie od a do z. Sarah P. przygotowała nasze ABCD po angielsku, zatem niektóre uzasadnienia do liter mogą się różnić początkiem. T jak Podróżowanie (Traveling) – trzymam kciuki I’m crossing my fingers for island hopping next summer.
U jak Urban Athens. Kiedy tam będziecie, musicie zrobić rundkę po szlaku współczesnego graffiti.
V jak Port lotniczy Ateny im. Elefteriosa Venizelosa. Zawsze jestem szczęśliwa, gdy wracam do Atem i smutna, gdy muszę wyjechać.
W jak ciepło (Warmth). W każdym sklepie, w każdej restauracji, kawiarni czy barze ludzie powitają was z uśmiechem.
X jak Athens Xclusive Designers Week – to dobra wymówka, by odwiedzić Ateny i być na czasie z greckimi super utalentowanymi projektantami.
Y jak TAK (YES) i spontaniczność Greków i Greczynek.
Z jak spacery ze świątyni Świątyni Zeusa Olimpijskiego w Atenach do Ogrodu Narodowego, a następnie do Syntygamy na jedzenie i drinki, oczywiście w dobrym towarzystwie.
ABCD a bit, but also a full alphabet. We start a new series of articles, where we ask artists about places, situations and people that are important for them. For the good start Sarah P., former vocalist in Keep Shelly in Athens, nowadays playing solo. In 2017 she released her LP Who Am I, and on the 14th of December will appear an EP of living in Berlin Greek woman, Maenads. And on FYH you can find her hometown Athens, that Sarra Anna Psalti describes in the from A to Z way.
A for the Athenian sun and its healing powers.
B for missing Berlin when I’m in my hometown.
C for Creativity – despite the years of austerity, the arts never ceased to bloom.
D for Democracy. In 508-507 BC, Cleisthenes established the Athenian Democracy. Centuries later, we might have taken it for granted, while we shouldn’t. We must value and treasure it, try to preserve it at all costs.
E for Exarheia – my Athenian neighbourhood.
F for the Food in Greece which is simply delicious.
G for making Grammar mistakes when speaking in Greek after having spent lots of time in Berlin. So embarrassing!
H for Hara or Happiness. The pure bliss I’m feeling when I’m surrounded by my loved ones when in Athens.
